CULTURE AS A DYNAMIC CONCEPT:
1
How culture
can be defined
A dynamic and open concept of culture forms the basis of my work. Culture is not accepted as something given, but perceived as a multi-layered orientation system in which power relations as well as external and self-attributions must not be ignored.
2
REFLECTING ETHNOCENTRISM:
Why I am not the
centre of the world
Our view of the world is shaped by cultural socialization. We assume that our own culture is at the centre and we tend to overlook the fact that this is only one perspective of many. Recognizing this offers new opportunities to understand "others" and sometimes to change perspective.

POST-COLONIAL CRITICISM:
Why reflecting on colonialism is important
Reflecting on power structures that have evolved over time is an important part of my workshops.
These structures, which arose from colonialism, among others, still have an effect today, for example in the devaluation of "the other" and simultaneous overestimation of the "own" culture.
A conscious handling of prejudices, as well as thoughts and actions critical of racism is the central theme of my work.
